Admission to the program is competitive and open to students attending member colleges of the Venture Consortium. Applications must be submitted to UES Program Coordinators by the deadline. Students of color are encouraged to apply. > application deadline
Applications to the Spring program are due in mid-October; applications for the Fall program are due in mid-March of the previous semester. Contact your UES Program Coordinator for the current deadlines and specific application information. > application materials
Applications must include all of the following: A completed application with "Cover Sheet" Separate, type-written responses to all questions on the application form Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a faculty member from the applicant's college An official college transcript Application forms are available from your UES Program Coordinator, or may be downloaded here. Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the downloaded UES application. > application procedure
Applicants are asked to meet with the on-campus selection committee for an interview to discuss their interest in the program. Applications are reviewed by selection committees on each campus, The Bank Street College of Education, and the Venture Consortium. The Director of the program at Bank Street and the Director of the Venture Consortium make final decisions on the applications and select a group of 7-14 participants each semester. Students are notified by Venture of decisions of acceptance/wait list/non-acceptance approximately 4 weeks after the application deadline. (back to top) |
